Michelle DuPree Zumbro graduated with a BS degree in physical therapy from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1993 and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006 with a concentration in orthopaedics and secondary specializations in vestibular and oncology rehabilitation. Michelle was the NC PT Association co-lecturer for Oncology/ Breast Cancer in 2009 and has been involved with research regarding swelling, edema and lymphedema. She has also attended multiple courses on the topic of vestibular rehab, complex dizziness and has completed training in the Graston Technique® Michelle is pleased to co-own Bodies in Balance Physical Therapy because of its ideal rehab setting that blends evidence-based treatment, hands-on treatment and encouraging spirit. Michelle has achieved the designation of Orthopaedics Clinical Specialist by American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists.
She has completed certification in Trigger Point Dry Needling and appreciates its effectiveness when coupled with therapeutic exercise with her patients.
