Emily became a certified yoga teacher through Open Studio NC, studying with Sheryl Light and Tom Slattery. As her practice and teaching evolved her interest in anatomy and how the body works grew. SHe made receiving massage therapy a regular part of her medical wellness after experiencing tendinitis in her knee and to assist relieving back pain caused by scoliosis.
Emily uses massage to achieve her best physical self and feels massage is "like a reset button for the body." Bodywork makes such a difference she is excited be able to offer that to others.
Emily's goal is to offer each person on her table a space for relaxation and healing in their body. Her experience as a yoga teacher and practitioner really helps me to offer grounding and a gentle energy to my clients.
