Physical Therapy Evaluation for Concussion
Comprehensive testing will be performed at your initial evaluation which may include:
- History of Events

Physical Therapy Treatment for Concussion
Treatment will include a comprehensive plan of care to address the findings from the evaluation. Every concussion presents differently which warrants an individualized care plan to address the needs of the individual. Expectations should include some mild symptom provocation within a safe threshold that is determined through initial testing in order to retrain the neurological system imbalances. There will also be symptom alleviation techniques for neck pain and headaches.
The Role of the Occupational Therapist in Concussion Management
The Occupational Therapists will be involved in concussion management to provide care for cognitive complaints and oculomotor complaints. They will be working collaboratively with your physical therapist and other health care providers to assure you are meeting your goals and expectations.
